This is the blog for the comedy part of the Comedy, Transmedia and Interactivity TAMK course.
The course runs from the 17th of March to the 17th of April and is taught by Chris Hales, Sohvi Sirkesalo and Chris Smith. The course description is as follows:
Traditional storytelling, drama and film are
made to be seen and experienced, very often based on Aristotle’s theories. How
is drama and comedy changing with the new era of interactivity, participation
and community building? What is humour and how does it evolved into new forms? How does one write comedy that can reach the audience also with interactive elements?
What is the role of the audience in the future? How do new technologies affect
your story, your dramatic ideas?
Possible outcome may consists of some (or all) the following
elements:

- live interactive performance
- game / location based, live role-play / cyberspace / interactive installation / shared cinema…

Aims for the course, text from
curricula:
The students are able to combine creatively film and art traditions with future visions in cinema projects. They demonstrate new ideas, options and solutions. They are able to realize the ideas in small production projects. They are able to reflect and assess critically their processes and results.
